Prosectra Ltd, one of the partners behind the OSHP Programme, is the Highfield Qualifications International approved Centre and is responsible for presenting successful OSHP delegates to Highfield for validation of the Certification Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner COSHP qualification, which is accredited by Highfield International, the international branch of Highfield Qualifications, a top 5 UK awarding organisation. Highfield accreditation has recognised the OSHP programme as being equivalent to a level 4, using the Ofqual’s Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) as a reference.
The Awarding Organisation’s accreditation demonstrates that the COSHP qualification has measurable learning outcomes and assessment criteria which are checked and benchmarked as being at an ‘equivalent’ level against Ofqual’s Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) as a reference. An RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework) Level 4 qualification in the UK educational system is designed to provide learners with specialist and technical knowledge, enabling them to perform a wide range of tasks with some autonomy and responsibility. It is equivalent to the first year of a university degree or a Higher National Certificate (HNC), and is often seen as a stepping stone to higher education or professional development in a specific field.

The COSHP qualification may be accepted towards higher education, but this will be at the discretion of individual higher education institutions who will also take into account the relevance of the COSHP qualification for the higher education’s programme.
